Timely education, information and guidance
Students who decide not to apply to university are supported in preparing their applications for individual jobs. Information and guidance is given regarding gaining an apprenticeship, together with interview preparation. Our careers provision is comprehensive in the Sixth Form. We have a careers guidance practitioner who visits to offer tailored support to help students in their career goals and next steps. Our skilled Sixth Form intervention team support students through university and apprenticeship applications. Our UCAS co-ordinator supports all students in their University applications, including Russell Group and Oxbridge candidates.
We are afforded freedom and we are given the responsibility to do our work and enjoy our time with our time here with our peers too. The Enrichment sessions on a Wednesday afternoon is the best part of the week as that is our time to focus on our own personal development to better ourselves. The opportunity for me to lead on one of our Changemakers projects was fantastic and this has really helped to develop a new set of skills. It was humbling to raise funds for the charity Mind and doing this alongside my friends was fun.
76% of our students in our cohort applied to university.
